Gladys leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Gladys’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Gladys will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred R. Smith and May Whitaker Smith; her son Gardener Dean Jarrett; and her sister Charlene Smith. She is survived by: her husband Fredrick Dean Jarrett; her daughter Nanci J. Fernandex (Max); her grandchildren, Brooke Dobinson (Jeremy) and T. C. Carns (Matt); and her great grandchildren, Kasen Dobinson and Sawyer Carns.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hightower's Memorial Chapel (12651 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Douglasville, GA 30134). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
