With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Henry Wallace Slaton of Douglasville, Georgia, who passed away on November 7, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Henry may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Henry touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Grady Slaton Jr. and Elizabeth Louise Barkley Slaton. He is survived by: his wife Linda Whatley Slaton; his daughters, Shannon Smith (Benjamin) and Mary Slaton; his grandchildren, Savannah Chaddrick and Alexander Slaton; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Colson and Lily McCoy; and his sister Lois Childress.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hightower's Memorial Chapel (12651 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Douglasville, GA 30134). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens (11261 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Douglasville, GA 30134).
