With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Angenette Walter of Douglasville, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 18, 2026 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Virginia Smith (Lyons) and Wesley Arthur Smith; her husband Clifton Reginald Walter; her close friend Clifton; her sister Janice V. Smith; and her half-brother Peter Walker.

She is survived by: her children, Vicki Jane Walter Judd of Covington, GA, Clifton Scott Walter of North Anson, ME, Kevin Erik Walter (Wendy Collins) of Rockport, ME, Christina Rae Walter Morrison (John) of Douglasville, GA and Rebecca Jo Walter Scott (Wes) of Villa Rica, GA; her grandchildren, Amy Lee Judd (Jeff Hamilton) of Powder Springs, GA, Joshua Bissell of California, Corey Scott Walter of Waldoboro, ME, Erin Joyce Walter of Camden, ME, Nicole Alexis Walter of Bristol, ME, Jason Erik Walter (Jessica Winchenbaugh) of Rockland, ME, Reilly Jo Walter Pearson (Trey) of Cumming, GA and Reagan Brooke Walter of Villa Rica, GA; her stepgrandchildren, Katherine Lynn (Anthony) of Canton, GA, Jason Morrison (Amber) of Lovejoy, GA and Serena Gohs (Geoff) of Wilmington, NC; her brother Thomas R. O'Hara, Jr. (Butch) of Sun City, AZ; and her nieces and nephews, Judy Smith of Norridgewock, ME, Melissa Walker, Walter Smith of Madison, ME, Mike Smith of Skowhegan, ME and Timothy Dickey of North Anson, ME. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren.
