He was predeceased by: his parents, E. O. Harbin and Bessie Lee Harbin; and his siblings, Eugene Harbin and Frances Step Morgan. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ruth Harbin; his sons, Jerry Harbin (Pam) of Douglasville and Leroy Leslie Harbin (Donna Kay) of Douglasville; and his siblings, Joyce Calhoun of Summerville and Michael Harbin of Lithia Springs. He is also survived by four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
