He is survived by: his wife Sibyl Strickland Hester; his children, Angela Hester, Sheree Vanest and Rogena Ashmore (John); his granddaughters, Christy Faff and Daphne Clark; and his sisters, Brenda Warren, Sandra Faye Carter and Jacolyn Edge. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
