Roxanna Saunders Hicks Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roxanna Saunders Hicks of Douglasville, Georgia, born in Key West, Florida, who passed away on January 7, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Broward Benjamin and Helen Margaret Saunders (Sweek); and her sisters, Barbara "Bobbie" Clifton and Mary Saunders. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Hicks; her children, Duaine Hicks (Cheryl) and Holly Hicks; her sister Beverly Foytik (Rodney "Ron"); and her grandsons, Benjamin Hicks and Rhett Hicks. She is also survived by other extended family members and a host of friends.
Roxanna survived breast cancer twice, two heart attacks that the family was aware of, two bouts of Covid and was a two-year survivor of congestive heart failure.
