She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest Lewis Shiver, Jr. and Elizabeth Jean Chewning. She is survived by: her husband Alvin Byce, Jr.; her children, Dawn Byce of Douglasville, Karen Bennett (Jonathan) of Douglasville, Georgia and Greg Byce of Douglasville, Georgia; her siblings, Jeana Shiver of Lithia Springs, Georgia and David Shiver of Lithia Springs, Georgia; and her grandchildren, Payton, Jayden, Nevaeh, Liliana and Chase.
