He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Harvey and Ida Kathleen Marcy Smiley. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Beavers Smiley; his son Brandon Smiley; his granddaughter Emmalynn Smiley; his brother John Smiley (Diana); his mother-in-law Gloria Jackson; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Boozer (Jerry) and Connie Foster. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
