He was predeceased by : his parents, Malcolm Thigpen and Marie Clements Thigpen; and his sisters, Shirley Gossett and Betty Evans. He is survived by : his wife Martha Frances Tipton Thipgen; his children, Douglas Malcolm Thigpen (Angela) of St. Petersburg, FL and Marcia Ann Johnson of Melbourne, FL; his grandchildren, Kylie Kinsler (Ryan), Jessica Thigpen, Christopher Johnson (Madeline) and Daniel Thigpen; his great grandchildren, Roland Morrow, Cooper Kinsler and Parker Johnson; and his sister Carol Joiner of Bonaire.
