He is survived by: his wife Doris Wynn Greenway of Rockledge, GA; his daughters, Charlane Conley (Ray) of Dexter, GA and Becky Soles (Gregg) of Dublin, GA.; his grandchildren, Mindy Dollar (Jason) of Dublin, GA, Meagan Soles of Dawsonville, GA, Matison Blash (Jahmal) of Dudley, GA, Meredith Clegg (Mitchell) of Rentz, GA, Drew Kratky (Hannah) of Lakeland, FL and Dylan Kratky of Saint Petersburg, FL.; his great grandchildren, Molly Kate Dollar, Jenson Dollar of Dublin, GA, Kree Blash, Kai Blash of Dudley, GA, Cole Kratky, Sydney Kratky and Logan Kratky of Lakeland, FL; and his sister Lattner Rigby of Thomaston, GA..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Townsend Brothers Funeral Home (215 W Jackson St, Dublin, GA 31021). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel (215 W Jackson St, Dublin, GA 31021). A committal service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Blue Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
His contributions to fire prevention and his response in times of crisis solidified his role as a pillar of the community.
