He is survived by: his wife Karen Lee Kight; his sons, Joseph Brian Kight of Savannah and Joshua Eric Kight (Victoria) of Dublin; his siblings, Sheila Morris (late Bobby Morris), Bobby Kight (Susan), Larry Kight (Kathy) and Joan Thomas (James); and the mother of his children Emily Flanders Kight. He is also survived by three grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Townsend Brothers Funeral Home (215 W Jackson St, Dublin, GA 31021). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel (215 W Jackson St, Dublin, GA 31021). A committal service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Northview Cemetery (1225 N Franklin St, Dublin, GA 31021).
