He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hoyer and Janice Smith Hoyer. He is survived by: his children, David C. Hoyer, Christopher W. Arnold, James C. Arnold, Lisa M. Johnston and Michelle L. Roland; and his brother Scott Hoyer. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made in memory of Mr. Hoyer to the American Legion GA Lodge #17 at 2503 Moore Station Road, Dublin, Georgia 31021.
