He was predeceased by : his parents, Otis Coney and Ruth Walden Coney; his wife Justine Reed Coney; his siblings, Henton, Hershal Coney and Ruby Jean Coney; his friend Jaquelin Glover; and also Lizzie Mae Graham.
He is survived by : his brother Buford Coney of Dublin; his daughters, Twila Reed of Atlanta, Sandra Coney of Dublin, Patricia Coney of Dublin, Tonya Mathis (Christopher) of Dublin and Yolanda Coney of Dublin; and his niece Altanese Tilman of McDonough. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren.
