He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Wright, Sr. and Nannie Strange Wright; his siblings, Glenda Porter and Bob Wright; and his siblings-in-law, Autry Porter, Tanya Wright and Vinson Drew.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Wright; his son Tim Wright (Teresa) of Sylvania; his stepchildren, John Strickland (Lori) of Dublin and Kimberly Bowers (Mark) of Dublin; his grandchildren, Robert Strickland, Lauren Daniels (Hunter), Katelynn Bowers and J. T. Bowers; his sisters, Shirley Beasley and Marilyn Drew; and his sisters-in-law, Jane Alexander and Jennifer Salyor.
