He was predeceased by: his sister Armanda Williams; his grandparents, Leo Norris and Bertha-Mae Horn Norris; his stepgrandmother Mary Lizzie Norris; and his grandparents, Lena-Mae Duffie and Clinton Duffie.

He is survived by: his parents, Zeldina Norris Ray (Jimmie) and Thomas Ray (Hortense) of Dublin, Georgia.; his brother T. C. Ray (Michelle); his aunt Annie Q. Wright; and his godmother Emma Bell Cross (Linda Bailey). He is also survived by other cousins and friends.
