He is survived by: his wife Danita Poston Knowles; his children, James Pierce Knowles, IV, Kandace Knowles, Kristopher Knowles (Kristen), Rebecca Chandler (Kevin) and Jared Middleton (Robin); his grandchildren, Gabrielle, Darren, Ella, Caleb, Jesse, Pierce, Emma, Madison, Chris, Blake and Magnolia; and his brother-in-law Gordon Walden.
The family suggests donations be made in Mr. Knowles' memory to the Methodist Children's Home, 304 Pierce Ave., Macon, GA 31204.
