He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Pitts Sr. and Minnie Woodard Pitts. He is survived by: his children, Angie Pitts Simpkins (Jake) and John C. Pitts III; his grandchildren, Cierra Carroll-Pitts, Julia Katherine Biles, Ella Parker Biles, Kenslee Pitts and John C. Pitts IV; his great grandchild Nova Harrelson; his siblings, Jerry Pitts (Mary Linda) and Katrina Pitts Forth; and his nephew Chadwick E. Forth.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Townsend Brothers Funeral Home (215 W Jackson St, Dublin, GA 31021). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Dublin Memorial Gardens (2986 US-80, Dublin, GA 31021).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Pine Forest Methodist Church, Regency Southern Care Hospice Service, or charity of choice.
