He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Robinson and Josie Fuqua Robinson; his daughter Sheri Kim Robinson; and his siblings, Douglas, Lenton, Edwin, Horace Allen, Kenneth, Tennyson, Ila Mae Harden, Eileen Branch, Tiny Lou Branch and Blondell Snellgrove.

He is survived by: his wife Rose Thomas Robinson; his children, Caron Roberts (Jeffrey) and John Robinson (Donna); his grandchildren, Laura Lee Roberts Patisaul (Philip), Daniel T. Roberts (Jenna), Leandra Roberts, Jacob Robinson, Zachary Robinson, Josey Robinson and Jesey Robinson; and his great grandchildren, Marlee Rose, Mace Patisaul, Annalee Rose, Rhett Bedingfield Roberts and Wilder Terry.
