He was predeceased by: his parents, Clester W. Coneway and Emma Lee Johnson; his stepfather Robert Carswell, Sr.; and his brothers, Nathan Carswell and Nathaniel Coneway.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Dixon; his children, Reginald Demmons (Letitia) of Memphis, TN, Demetrius Wiggins, Renard Dixon, Georgina Downie (John), Lashana Dixon of Vidalia and Shakera Wiggins (Lee); his granddaughter Renylah Dixon; his uncle Willie James Dixon; his aunt Lola Mae Powell; and his siblings, Robert Carswell, Jr., Rodriguez Johnson (Vanita) of Maimi, FL, Shundre'Joiner of Gainesville, Willie Kinsey (Mae) of Miami, FL, Delinda Peacock of Miami, FL, Betty Carswell of Miami, FL, Patricia Dixon of Miami, FL, Mattie Walton of Miami, FL, Patrina Deese (Herbert) of Dublin and Shambria Joiner of Silver Springs, MD. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the First African Baptist Church (405 Telfair St, Dublin, GA 31021).
