He was predeceased by: his daughter Leslie Erin Hutchinson; and his parents, Willie Lou Sumner Hutchinson and James L. "Sammy" Hutchinson. He is survived by: his wife Karen Proctor Hutchinson; his children, Kelly Berick (Rob) and Kade Bond Proctor Hutchinson; his sister Mary Ann Vessey (Don); his nieces, Dulaney Zullig (David) and Julia Hebron (Joshua); and his grandsons, Joseph Maxwell Berick and William Robert Berick.
