She was predeceased by: her former husband Major Paul Lamont Wilkes; her parents, Clyde Couey and Annie Lee Couey; her nephew Greg Couey; and her sister-in-law Marion Couey.
She is survived by: her husband Lt. Paul L. Wilkes; her children, Jeff Wilkes (Lynn) of Dublin and Millie Wilkes of Dublin; her siblings, Lorene Robinson of Dublin, Josephine Hinderacker of Powder Springs and Bobby Couey of Dublin; her stepgranddaughter Dana Walker of Dublin; and her stepgreat-granddaughters, Allie Drew (Jenson) of Dublin and Ashlee Fruits (Ryan) of Savannah. She is also survived by two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
