She was predeceased by: her parents, L. L. Keene and Hazel McKenzie Keene; her husband Charles W. Howell; her sons, Ronnie Bruce Howell and Charles Otis Howell; and her siblings, Dorothy Mae Newsome, Rita Hadden, Betty Sue Baker and Kenneth Keene.
She is survived by: her son Tommy Lee Howell of Wrightsville; her siblings, Lillie Joyce of East Dublin, Sarah Cook of East Dublin, Bonnie Porto of Juliette and Edward Keene (Sandra) of Gray; and her grandchildren, Steven Howell (Roxanna), Samantha Howell Denham (Adam), Marie Howell Adams, Michael Howell (Samantha), Mitchell Howell, Michelle Herndon (Brent), Wes Howell (Mandi), Jason Howell and Kristy Gregory (Charles). She is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
