He was predeceased by: his parents, Lizzie Mae Walker and Robert O'Neal; his nephew Willie O'Neal, Jr.; his niece Michelle Bouyer; and his close friend Leslie Thomas.

He is survived by: his wife Andrea O'Neal; his children, Lashanna Spikes (Tiffany), Lindsey, Jr. O'Neal (Essence), Leah O'Neal, Larry O'Neal and Lavontae O'Neal; his stepchildren, Twollow Rozier (Terrance), Travis (Jennifer) of Washington, Ta'Quita (Ja'Cori Fann) of Washington, Latoya Davis, McKinley Rozier and Kylee Spikes; and his siblings, Mary Daniel (Sammy, Jr.), Robert, Jr. O'Neal (Roslyn), Dorothy Alton (Robert), Doris O'Neal (Johnny), Shelia Whisby (Darryl), Baraba Toombs, Karen Kellam (Ronnie), Tommy O'Neal (Margie), Garey O'Neal, Charles O'Neal, Arimetha Mimbs (Randy) and May Lizzie Kellam (Lonnie). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
