We are sad to announce that, on March 7, 2023, at the age of 101, Margaret Carruth (Dublin, Georgia), born in Decatur, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father John Orson Smith; her husband Edward H. Carruth; her sister Mary Starr; and her son-in-law Kenny Goode. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Joseph E. Carruth (Camille) of Dublin, E. Hampton Carruth, Jr. (Beth) of Batesville, John O. Carruth (Leslie) of Roswell and Katherine Carruth Goode of Columbia, S. C.; her brother Dr. J. Orson Smith, Jr. (Eleanor) of Tallahassee; her sister-in-law Deb Carruth of Silver Spring; her grandchildren, Tom Carruth (Shelly), Elizabeth C. Barfoot (Adam), Kevin Carruth, Wade Carruth (Leighton), Clark Carruth, Deale Carruth (Ellie), Maggie C. O'Conner (Chris), Craig Link (Evelyn) and Sumter Link (Elizabeth); and her great grandchildren, Joshua Barfoot, Nate Barfoot, Natalie Barfoot, Holland Carruth, Olivia Carruth, Preslie Carruth, Dax Carruth, Jim Carruth, Lucy Carruth, Lila Carruth, Josephine Carruth, Mac Link and Edward Link. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
