He was predeceased by: his parents, Beaufort Sawyer and Lila Belflower Sawyer; his wife Ann Belflower Sawyer; and his siblings, Jim Sawyer of Bob Sawyer, W. L, Tom Sawyer, Opal Giddens, Ozella Swan and Estelle Yearty.
He is survived by: his children, Jody Sawyer (Sandra) of Rome, Suzie Sawyer Carr of Cochran and Todd Sawyer of Cochran; his grandchildren, Colby Carkoski (Nora) and Abbie Carr; his great grandchild Theodore Carkoski; his stepchildren, Troy Davis (Shannon) and Nikki Davis; his stepgrandchildren, Kelbi Mullis (Neil), Kyle Osborne (Leann), Keri Ann Osborne, Taylor Byram and Tanner Byram (Katie); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Walker Mullis, Annie Mullis, Olivia Osborne, Reed Osborne, Hunter Lynn Osborne, Kyson Byram and Kolson Byram; and his siblings, Glenn Sawyer, Pansy Loudermilk, Florine Johnson and Madge Dykes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens (1081 GA-26 West, Cochran, GA 31014).
