She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Herbert Sheppard, Sr. and Avis Lorene Sheppard; her husband C. E. "Mutt" Underwood; her son Kenneth Edward Underwood (Tammy) of Cottageville; her son-in-law Michael R. Horton; and her siblings, Wesley Herbert Sheppard Jr., Ester Senn, Opal Slappey, Anna Mae Mason, Martha Brantley, Patsy Tenhoor, Nell Daniels and Johnnie Faye Graham.
She is survived by: her daughters, Geneva Williams (Kim) of Ava, Missouri, Sheryl Horton of Moncks Corner and Anita Cochran (Monty) of Dublin; and her sister Wanza Soles of Dublin. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
