She was predeceased by: her mother Anna Bell Childers; and her son Chris Slaton. She is survived by: her children, Kim Johnson-Smith (Casey) of Cobbtown, Daniel Lane (Julia) of Kite and Megan Slaton. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401).
