It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sammy Currie Jr. of Dublin, Georgia, who passed away on January 27, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Wilbur Currie, Sr. and Mary Frances Williams Currie; and his niece Hope Currie Meredith. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Currie of Dublin; his daughters, Renee Elder of Dublin and Tracy Kinney (Chris) of Dublin; his grandsons, Lee Elder (Courtney) of Columbus and Gabe Kinney of Dublin; his great grandchildren, Lewis of Columbus and Sam Elder of Columbus; and his brothers, Jimmy Currie (Dea) of Jasper, GA, Bobby Currie (Sandra) of Dublin and Tommy Currie (Melissa) of Dublin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
