He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Bilharz and Virginia Bilharz; his wife Susan Bilharz; and his sister Karen Choyke. He is survived by: his children, Stephen J. Bilharz of Dallas, Georgia and Jennifer Zwaga of Jacksonville, Florida; and his sister Pam Penttinen of Lenoir.
