He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Elsa Cauley Smith. He is survived by: his father William Hardy; his wife Patricia Smith (Wendy); his children, Jackson Smith, Carson Smith and Caroline Smith; his sisters, Patricia Howard (Dan) and Ellen Clifton (Steven); his nephew Scott Howard; and his niece Madison Howard.
