We are sad to announce that on March 26, 2023, at the age of 97, John Lester Chamblee of Duluth, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry and Lillie Chamblee; his wife Louise Emmerine Chamblee; his siblings, Lewis E. Chamblee, Henry "Bill" W. Chamblee, James E. Chamblee, Franklin D. Chamblee, Joe R. Chamblee, Fannie L. Crowe, Annie Bell Chamblee, Marie Guthrie, Evelyn Dulworth and Ellen M. Branscum; his son John; his daughter-in-law Rita Chamblee; his daughter Carolyn; his son-in-law Mahlon Sweat; his grandchildren, Christie Sweat, Anthony Chamblee and Ray Phillips (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Victoria Gordon, Sydney Phillips, Avery Phillips and Adelynn Phillips. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
