She was predeceased by: her parents, William McDermott and Edmee McDermott; and her son Robert Tipton Jr. (Bobby). She is survived by: her husband Deacon Robert Tipton (Bob); her children, Laura Lawson (Kevin) of Winder, William Tipton of Lawrenceville, Daniel Tipton of Oakwood and Karen Tipton of Longmont, Colorado; and her grandchildren, Luna (Brian Lawson), Ashley Lawson, Grant and Kendall Tipton.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Patricia Tipton's Memory: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
