It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Calvin Nelson Sr. (Duluth, Georgia), who passed away on July 13, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandson Robert Nelson III. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Nelson; his children, Catrina Maxwell (Maxwell Hirst) of Duluth, Byron Nelson of Tampa, FL and Robert Nelson Jr. (Angela) of Winder; his grandchildren, Amanda (Carl), Jessi, Ryley, Harrison, Kinadey, Danielle and Hunter; his great grandchildren, Carlie, Merida, Mason, Cheyenne, Cora and Colt; his sister Doris Burroughs of Lilesville, NC; and also Kristin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
