He was predeceased by : his parents, Florence Roth (Bennett) and Gordon H. Roth; and his grandson Christopher William Roth. He is survived by : his wife Ruth Linda Ryberg; his children, Mary "Betsy" Wells, Richard L. Roth, Jr. and William Roth (Susan); his grandchildren, Nicole Sasser (Chris), Calyn Autry (Adam), Carly Wells (Preston), Selena Ingram (Stephen) and Dustin Roth; his great grandchildren, Addison, Christopher, Charlie Sasser, Selah, Luke Autry and Tyler Wells; and his siblings, Gordon Roth (Diane), Mary Michael Roth, Danis Zinger, John Roth (Sally), Robert Roth and Rosemary Roth.
