He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Brown and Lutrelle Brown; and his sister Candace Brown. He is survived by: his wife Ruthie Brown; his children, Stiles Brown (Emily) and Conley Bird (Nick); his grandchildren, Mae Brown, Hines Brown and Evelyn Bird; and his sister Judy Kinnett. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Marist School or Shepherd Center.
