He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Francis Mason and Daisy Idell Whitaker Mason; his wife Annette Hasty Mason; and his siblings, John, Dick, Durwood, Joe, Annie and Winnie.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Mason (Angie) of Dublin, Jay Mason (Jaye) of Dublin and Cindy Mason Alligood of Macon; his brother Harold Mason (Nancy) of Milledgeville; his siblings-in-law, Morris Wood of Milledgeville and Jackie Mason; his grandchildren, Kinsley Mason Smith (Cameron), Kaitlyn Mason Williamson (Logan), Ashlyn Alligood, Whit Mason (Avery) and Laura Beth Mason; and his great grandchildren, Averly Jo Smith, Fischer Smith, Ila Kait Williamson and Leni Grace Williamson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
