She was predeceased by: her parents, Love King and Daisy King; and her husband Curtis W. Mitchell, Sr.. She is survived by: her daughter Maria Mitchell Dean; and her grandchildren, Chata Spikes and James Dean, Jr.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gus Thornhills Funeral Home Chapel (1315 Gus Thornhill Jr Dr, East Point, GA 30344). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church (2870 Headland Dr, East Point, GA 30344).
