Gilda C. Roby Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilda C. Roby (East Point, Georgia), who passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Gilda's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Gilda has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henry J. Roby. She is survived by: her daughter Rhonda Ballard (Shedrick); her grandchildren, Daniel Steele and Lataveia Steele; and her brother Otis Cotton II. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, a host of loving relatives and dear friends.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapel of Gus Thornhill's Funeral Home Chapel (1315 Gus Thornhill Jr Dr, East Point, GA 30344).
