He is survived by: his wife Joan Dowdy Joiner; his children, Jill Johnson, Robin Peacock, Sophia Danforth (Bobby) and Nikki Corn (Jamie) of Dallas, Georgia; his grandchildren, Sandi Purinton (Jared), Patrick Johnson (Jessica), Sara Grace Jessup (Cayne), Zach Danforth, Jacob Danforth (Liz), Eli Corn, Atticus Corn and Ollie Corn; and his great grandchildren, Parker Purinton, Cullen Purinton, Canaan Jessup and Maggie Danforth.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hardy-Towns Funeral Home (6399 Oak St, Eastman, GA 31023). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
