We bid farewell to Ruth Wells Estes of Eastman, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 22, 2025 at the age of 100. Ruth Wells touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Ethel Anderson and Joseph Moye Wells; her husband Herbert D. Estes; and her sister Evelyn Wells. She is survived by: her daughters, Shari Giddens and Judy Wood; her grandsons, John Giddens (Christina), Benjamin Giddens (Kimberly), Reid Wood (Mary) and Herbert Michael Wood (Jill); and her great grandchildren, Clarke Giddens, Gus Giddens, Savannah Ruth Wood, Jenna Wood, Ella Wood, Aubrey Wood and Kason Wood.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Social Hall. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made to the First Methodist Church or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
