He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Bascom Harris and Jess Lee Pulliam; and his son-in-law James Mark Baxter. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou; his children, Sandra Baxter of Eatonton, Karen Thurston (Scott) of San Diego and Daryl Harris (Angela) of Woodstock; his half-sisters, Pam Deters (Ray) of Penney Farms, FL and Jeanette Ricks of Kerrville, Texas; and his grandchildren, Laura DiStephano (Anthony) of Peachtree City, Brian Johnson (Emily) of Peachtree City, Mark Johnson (Keri) of Peachtree City, Stephen Thurston (Emily) of San Diego, Kevin Thurston of Dallas and Kendra Cannon (Seth) of Bentonville Ark. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Mr. Harris may be made to Lake Country Baptist Church or to a charity of your choice.
