It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Pete Bailey Jr. of Eatonton, Georgia, who passed away at the age of 79, on July 4, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Pete is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Pete's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Bailey Rogers and Harris. He is survived by: his wife Lou Green Bailey; his daughters, Jessica Burkitt Bailey and Julia Bailey Gillogly; his son-in-law Bennett Frederick Gillogly; his granddaughter Adeline Margaret Gillogly; and his brothers, John Robert "Bob" Rogers (PK) and Wilbur Moate "Bill" Rogers (Gina). He is also survived by family members and dear friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cherokee Town Club.

In honor of Pete's lifelong love for his dogs, Bailey, Oconee, and Wally, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia (https://hsscg.org) in Brunswick, Georgia, or the Lake Oconee Humane Society (https://lohspets.org) in Greensboro, Georgia.
