We announce the death of Robert Lee McElhannon of Eatonton, Georgia, who passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 81. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Thomas McElhannon and Clarhinda Young McElhannon; his daughter Jackie Jaime; his wife Barbara Hawkins McElhannon; and his partner Hillma Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Clarinda McNair (Jim), Luann Clark, Tommy McElhannon (Lisa) and Robert Avery McElhannon (Connie); his brother Nathan McElhannon; and his grandchildren, Joshua, Jimmy, Jason, Jessica, Meghan, Susan, Crystal, Lomas, Kyle, Ayrieal, Caleb, Dillon and Dawson. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Vining Ivy Hill Chapel (105 Lower Harmony Rd, Eatonton, GA 31024). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Eatonton Memorial Park (103 W Magnolia St, Eatonton, GA 31024).
