It is with sadness that the passing of Emory Wyly Yant Sr. (Eden, Georgia) is shared. Emory, born on July 25, 1944, passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Clyde Yant and Ruby May Davis Yant. He is survived by: his siblings, Curtis Clyde Yant, Jr., Myrna Jewn Yant and Bert Terry Yant; his former wife Peggy Jean McDougal; his wife Deloris Ennis; his former wife Peggy Elliott (Ian); his family Emory "Chip" W. Yant, Jr. (Deena); his children, Janet Noelle Martin (Kenny) and Nathan Wyly Yant; his grandchildren, Cadence Noelle Martin and Hunter George Martin; his children, Greyson Wyly Rowe Yant, William Heyward Yant, Henry Michael Yant, Ezra Johnston Yant, Oliver Hammond Yant, Rayna Kathryn Yant, Morgan Conners (Kyle) and Nicholas Joyner (Blair); his grandchildren, Weston Connors, Kason Connors, Christian Connors, Everleigh Joyner and Livie Joyner; and his children, Rylan Joyner, Rayne Joyner and Rivers Joyner. He is also survived by five sons, 13 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Powers Baptist Church (1104 US-80, Eden, GA 31307). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Powers Baptist Church in Eden, Georgia, or to the Beaufort Toy Run in support of its charitable work with children and veterans.
