He was predeceased by: his parents, George Quinton "Pete" Wilkerson and Cullie Turner Wilkerson; his wife Betty Christine Lewis Wilkerson; and his daughter Lorraine Wilkerson. He is survived by: his children, Linda Peak (Rusty) of Cuthbert, Jean Whitaker (Joe) of Carnegie and James R. Wilkerson (Marie) of Coleman; his sister Lee Beard of Cuthbert; his grandchildren, Lee, Tony, Brandi, Brent, Derrick and Rachel; his stepgrandchildren, Stacy and Terry; and his great grandchildren, Matt, Charlotte, Joey, Briggs, Hanna, Will, Aubrey, Ashton, Emarie, Eden, Amelia, Hannah and Lillian.

Mask and social distancing will be required.

“Sorry to hear of the passing of James. I got to know James while working at Burgin Lumber Company back in the 90s. I was a sawfiler and James would stay after the Mill shutdown and help me change the gang saws. He was a hard worker and I thought of him as a father. He will be greatly missed, and we will meet Bro James again . Hopefully, we will meet soon, when all the saints of God are gathered home, to be with The Lord Jesus. Condolences to the Wilkerson family. Sincerely, Mr Neal Waldschlager.”
