She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bose Hardman and Lucille Hardman (Saddler); and her siblings, Eva Hardman, Genell Tolbert, James Hardman, Bose Hardman and Elijah Hardman.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence Thornton; her sons, Felix Walter Bowen of Elberton, GA and Mike Thornton (Wanda) of Hartwell, GA; her siblings, Rogene Allen (Willie) of Royston, GA, Shirley Baker (Willie) of Elberton, GA, Larry Hardman (Maris) of Elberton, GA and Micheal Hardman of Elberton, GA; and her siblings-in-law, Rev. Eddie Thornton (Betty) of Bowersville, GA, William Thornton (Shelby) of Elberton, GA, Scottie Thornton of Elberton, GA, Mae Sue Hardman of Elberton, GA, Rose Hardman of Elberton, GA and Cora Hardman of Elberton, GA. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren.
