With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Curtis Eugene Algood (Elberton, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 13, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hoyt Algood and Jewel Christine Jones Algood; and his siblings, Polly Pitts (Bobby) and Milford Algood. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Cornelia Gunter Algood; his sons, Jeff (Gwen Algood), Craig (Missy Algood) and Chad (Crystal Algood); his grandchildren, Jake Algood, Justin Algood, Kaytlyn Mills (McCloud) and Lauren Fleeman; his great grandchildren, Avery Algood and Memphis Mills; and his sister-in-law Patricia Algood.

Flowers are accepted, and contributions may be made in his memory to Fortsonia Baptist Church, 2616 Washington Highway, Elberton, GA 30635.
