She was predeceased by: her parents, George Richard Tate and Edna Lee Lyle Tate; her husband Benny Nelson Locke; her sister Clara Mae; her brother-in-law Kenneth Allgood; her nephew Brian Allgood; and her nieces, Pamela Allgood Dickerson, Deborah Allgood Smith and Becky.

She is survived by: her brother G. L. "Buddy"; her sister-in-law Sandra Yeargin Tate of Atlanta; her nieces, Cindy Algood Yeargin of Elberton and Kimberly Tate-Nuwar of Atlanta; her nephew Tracy Tate of Toccia; and her nephews-in-law, Tony Dickerson of Elberton and Jeff Smith of Elberton.
