She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Alexander Sr. (Mary) and Georgie Gloria Grindle (Wayne); Jack Alexander Jr. of Warrenton, Virginia.. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Spinks; her daughters, Michelle Hoffman (Ted) of Haymarket, Shannon Dennis (Chris) of Upperville, Susan Tierney (Joe) of Gainesville and Mia Spinks (Destin) of Elberton, Georgia.; and her siblings, Gary Alexander (Cindy), Wayne Grindle Linden (Wendy) and Pam Williams (Steve) of Mineral, Virginia.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
