He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thomas Oglesby, Sr. and Josephine Fortson Oglesby; and his sister Marcia Oglesby Esch. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Seymour Oglesby; his children, George Thomas Oglesby, III (Tina) of Elberton, Laura Elizabeth O. Hernandez (Jesse) of Elberton, Ross Arnold Oglesby (Amy) of Watkinsville, Kevin Rice (Allison) of Elberton and Melanie Albertson of Hartwell; his sister Ethel Horton of St. Simons Island; his grandchildren, Gray Oglesby (Caylor), Maribeth Hernandez, Molly Oglesby, Marjorie Hernandez, Brock Oglesby, Justin Rice (Karly), Austin Albertson, Marissa Hernandez, Lily Oglesby and Zeb Oglesby; his great grandchildren, Nyla, Lucy Jo and Magnolia; and his close friend Sadie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
